: : The reason why atheists like to pound on this one so much is because they lack what we have in the way of great thinkers.

: Here are a few hundred great thinkers who will disagree with you. Alive Dead

I found the links to be interesting, but I have a couple of objections to them. First of all, not all the people listed are atheists (by any stretch of the imagination). Second, some were clearly miscategorized or categorized with flimsy evidence. Third, if you were to stack all the true atheists that those lists mention (and even the non-atheists mentioned in them) and put them on a scale, and I were to put Isaac Newton by himself on the other end (i.e., the theist side), the scale would clearly tip in his favor. If I were to add everyone else (i.e., all the other great theists) at that point, then your side would fly off the scale.

: : You better believe it. Liefer had I die than abandon my belief in God. However, the evidence rests on my side of the fence, so I have nothing to fear.

: Then a discussion of the subject is worthless with you. I'll pass on making any further responses to your posts.

: As to your experiencing God in your life... I doubt you are interested, but just in case... Pick up a copy of the most recent "Free Inquiry" and read "Searching for God in the Machine" by David C. Noelle. You'll find that skeptics, like myself, can "experience God" but that doesn't mean God externally exists.

I hope you weren't expecting to convert me to your way of thinking. I know you probably get your share of theists that don't know science worth a hill of beans, but I'm not one of them. I will forever believe in God, and you can take that to the bank.
