He's human. But you're listening to the wrong show.

: I listen to Harrold Camping on the radio here in CA all the time when I'm in the mood for a laugh. It's always amusing (in a sad and pathetic way) to listen to all the people who can't think for themselves (or have no personal connection to their own God) calling to ask this man what his opinion is, or what God wants: "Gee Mr. Camping, I have a personal problem X, and I can't think for myself anymore, so what should I do?" Most of the time the answer should be: "Go soak your head until you realize you should figure out your own problems rather than assuming someone else knows better or has a better connection to god than you."

: Why just the other day Mr. Camping was explaining how the dinos lived at the same time as Moses and how the flood killed them off and created all the fossils. Reality sure becomes strange when you try to force it to conform to old mythical writings.

He is only human. I disagree with him on the dinosaur theory. I have no problems meshing the Bible with evolution. But that's a side issue. Listen to his Bible study, which airs at 9:30 A.M. here in the midwest and try to catch him in an inconsistency as he interprets the Bible. You won't find any because he has a sound understanding of Truth, and therefore understands what the Bible says. I disagree with his view on creation, but that seems to be the big stumbling block in the church today. I don't see why there's a problem. I'll try to get my ducks in a row here and post on Genesis 1-3 in particular.

Where else have you found inconsistencies besides creation? Or has that been enough to turn you off to everything else he has to say? Remember, he's only consistent to the point where he stays with the Bible, which he does very well. When he strays he's as fallable as anybody.

You are right that there is no reason for a mature Christian to be calling asking him for advice. But for "the lost," he can be quite helpful.
