: Christianity does require prophets--who else are these men who wrote the bible we're supposed to put our faith in as being inspired? As well the bible does mention rituals and even diet proscriptions--whether current beliefs accept those scriptures are required or not is just more of the confusion resulting from the evolution of the myths.

Ask the Jews if Christianity doesn't require "additional scripture".
