: This idea purports to do away with the need for quantum mechanics. As one article on the site linked below asks: "Is it possible that quantum mechanics is classical physics done in the presence of a zero-point field?"
: This was a new concept to me, and I am curious if others have read of it and can provide further insight.
I'm sorry I have no new insight -- I've never heard of this. But as a layman I do know that even science has its fads. I finished Kaku's HYPERSPACE a couple of months ago. Like Haisch, he argues that quantum behavior can be better explained elsewhere -- this time by 10 dimensional Superstrings. Finally, after all other attempts made to explain it for the past 100 years, this, for Kaku, is the Unified Field Theory.
I'm curious to hear any discussion (that I can understand) regarding this topic.
