The strong points for evolution: It is supported by scientific evidence, data, observations, and experiments. It is accepted as a fact in the scientific community.
The strong points for young-earth creation: It is supported by the Bible (but only if you believe in literal interpretation, which most mainstram Christians such as Roman Catholics, Episcopalians, Lutherans, etc. don't) and is considered fact by ONLY those who follow a fundamentalist view of Christianity. Unfortunately, there is major disagreement among Creationists, such as the disagreement of whether the earth is about 10,000 years old (Young-Earth Creationists) and about 4.5 billion years old (Old-Earth Creationists).
