Not that I know of. I don't eat hamburgers from fast food chains at all anymore. In fact, I haven't since high school. (My reasons are far more related to taste and health than ethics in this particular case.) About the only fast food meat I still (occasionally) eat is the hot pastrami at Togos.
Incidentally, Joseph Campbell's book (with Bill Moyer) The Power of Myth talks a bit about the relationship between the hunter and the hunted, life feeding on life (he includes plant life), and the mystical relationships (gods) that resulted.
I'm looking forward to reading Barbara Ehrenreich's Blood Rites: Origins and History of the Passions of War on similar topics.
