A quote from your former post:
: I simply caution those who pursue Honest Intellectural Inquiry to be careful about the sources they trust. My problem with the way Brodie treats the subject of Thomas Jefferson is her concentration on titilating inuendo and supposition about Mr. Jefferson's personal life rather than what the established facts indicate about the mans habits and character.
: She also seems to couch her stories in the socio-intellectual mores of the last half of this decade rather than the Jeffersonian period. If she does this with Jefferson, I imagine she does this with Smith.
My reply. Do the recent DNA results regarding Jefferson and Sally Hemmings make you a little more sympathetic with Ms. Brodie's "intimate history" of Thomas Jefferson? Not criticizing you. Just curious.
