Claiming that there are other possibilities is only a valid option if there is some evidence for these possibilities. As Isaac Asimov stated "To surrender to ignorance and call it God has always been premature, and it remains premature today."
I absolutely agree, and I think you are probably right about Chris's post. I probably came down on him a little hard. The cop-out thing kinda stuck in the ole craw(hmmm...an evolutionary adaptation?).:>)
