: A couple of weeks ago, I posted a message about the hypocritical nature
: of certain devout Mormon senators sitting in judgement of our President.
: The message was up about one day and then disappeared. Can you tell me
: what happened to it and why? In case it was lost in cyberspace, I'll try
: to repeat the gist of it. It was about the Book of Abraham problem and
: whether or not we're being honest with our fellow men/women about it's
: authorship. To get a temple recommend, you must answer the question about
: honesty with a "yes". Assuming Sen. Hatch and Sen. Bennett know about
: the "lie" (in my opinion)about the Book of Abraham translation, and they
: anwered yes (I presume)to get their temple recommends, does this not
: constitute a greater offense in the eyes of the Lord, since they would
: be lying to get into the House of the Lord, than does Bill Clintons lies
: about an extramarital affair? This message is not a defense of Clinton.
: I personally think he should resign, but that's not the point here. It's
: whether or not the pot should call the kettle black.
How can one be a hypocrite when he doesn't think that he is bearing a lie? In fact, nothing has proven that the Book of Abraham is a mistranslation, and the evidence, in fact, points to the notion that the Book of Breathings wasn't the origin for the Book of Abraham in the first place.
