: I don't have time to write a complete essay on how you have put a 180 degree (false) spin on Gould's actual work, but should you ever feel inclined to read even a single book by the man rather than just rely on distorted quotes and incorrect interpretations provided by the dishonest creationists you have read, you will plainly see that he does not believe "transitional forms (missing links) do not exist" and "among the millions of fossils found, not one supported Darwins theory; time for a new theory" and "a lizard laid an egg and a bird flew out of it".

Gould has been a favorite target of distortion by Xian apologists. Hank Hanagraaff (the Bible Answer Man) blatently distorted Gould's views in a recent Christian Research Newsletter (July-Sept. 98) by using a quote from a 1977 Gould essay(paraphrase: "the lack of transitional forms is a trade secret of paleontology"). Hank used this quote despite the availability of many more recent Gould essays confirming the discovery a number of transitional forms. When it comes to the question of evolution/creation, most apologists simply cannot be trusted to be fair. Doesn't this come under the catagory of bearing false witness?
