I sure was envious of rpcman when I heard that he got a lecture from a SETI board member for church...
Actually, this was the third SETI person to speak in the local UU fellowship. (SETI is located in silicon valley so we are lucky to have them all close by.) When I was still a TBM (and not attending UU meetings) the (real life) blind guy who was represented in Contact spoke, and about a year ago the president of the organization spoke. His presentation was outstanding too.
