I wouldn't consider a subjective experience as evidence for anything except perhaps a vivid imagination. Most theists however, don't hold subjective/esoteric experiences in high regard. Very much the contrary, theists of old (i.e. Johnathan Edwards, John Wesley) as well as contemporary theists (i.e. J.I. Packer, Billy Graham) caution against such experiences. Most theists today would defend their beliefs based on the secular and Biblical evidence of a first century Jewish rabbi who died and was resurrected from the dead. Logically no one can state that supernatural events never happen, due to a lack of total knowledge, so the real question is one of historicity.
