Pat: Sagan points out further that Kepler almost missed learning the truth about orbits because he was so reluctant to dismiss the notion of Platonic perfection that required circular orbits. I think you need to take a little more time to think about this one.
Hmmm... Let's see... didn't you already assert that Kepler was a thorough Platonist?
