Hmmm... Let's see... didn't you already assert that Kepler was a thorough Platonist?

Sagan points out further that Kepler almost missed learning the truth about orbits because he was so reluctant to dismiss the notion of Platonic perfection that required circular orbits.

I think you need to take a little more time to think about this one.
