: Do you admit, then, that you have no answer to my question about
: the big bang
No, I have an answer to that, but it would take a lenghty essay to explain big bang cosmology. Others have done a better job than I can do of summarizing the facts.
: That's like saying that if you find a watch on the beach (I know,
: this is an oldie--but bear with me) it is more logical to
: assume it got there by randomly formed, unguided sequential
: processes than by an intelligent creator. Why? Because
: to say that the watch had an intelligent creator is to
: create an even bigger problem--who made the man who
: made the watch?
That answer is simple, however. The man was made by his parents through the process of sexual reproduction.
: And, if the scientific view of reality, which
: we are supposed to base our lives on, turns out to
: be totally ( false? insufficient? contradictory? all of
: the above?)
The most important aspect of science isn't its 'view'. It is its method. If you, or someone else, has a better method then please let us know what it is and why it is better.
:Then, why not trust in what God has to
: tell you, instead?
Probably because God hasn't told me a thing. If you can get your God to talk to me I'd be very interested in hearing from it.
