So, what if you decide to punch me in the face,
causing me pain? Is that proof there is no God?
Or is it simply proof that if God made you, he
made you strong enough to punch me, and chooses to
let you punch me now, and sort it out later?
It is an example of God not interfering with our
own interactions amongst ourselves. Which, I feel,
has a totally logical purpose in that we will hereafter
be given only the amount of authority which we will
not abuse.
Not that he can not interfere, but if he always
did, we would not actually be acting like ourselves.
We would be on our "best behavior"
I believe that it is fair because we "knew what
we were getting ourselves into" before coming here.
You asked about people who are abuse and kill.
The word sin has great significance, here. If we live
in a realm where sin is possible, the higher sins
will be those ones.
The lawn-mowing analogy, I think holds true.
The principle at play is that we are growing, and
need to experience it for ourselves. I do not think
God is all-powerful in the sense that He can tear
a piece of paper in half without tearing it in half.
some things are not possible.
Maybe it is impossible to act for yourself without
also learning for yourself.
So, you are right that I do not believe in a
Southern-Baptist type God who can do things which
are impossible, and yet can be construed with words.
Such as: this sentence is false. And other fun little
mind games like that.
Peace
