Since man is made in God's image--God too must have been created out of nothing at all.

Two points really trouble me here:
1. Why is so much made of the word "image?" Image may refer to nothing more than the existence of consciousness. How can anyone assume anything more or less is implied by the general phrase, "image of God?"

2. Why is there an assumption that God had a beginning? Even Sagan referred to a beginning and an end to time in this universe. Any creator of such a universe would be beyond any concept of time that we can understand.

There obviously is no "heavenly throne" within our universe. Why try to understand God in terms of physics?
