I Just Wanna Be Alive!

Of course this is a rebuttal to the other thread. However, it isn't meant to minimize that thread's earnestness.

I just wanna be alive for a long time. I'm 57, recently had a bout with a pulmonary embolism which, as it should, reminded me of my mortality.

I spent way to much time trying to live up to my kuvnints and didn't enjoy the better part of 25 years in my life.

I still have a lot on my bucket list.

Here's to everyone's long, prosperous and joyful lives!

Damn straight! So I'm packing as much living into my remaining years as I possibly can. I'm still young enough to have a number of those years left, and old enough to be responsible in my debauchery!

The older I get, the more I love life and want to keep on living.
When I wake up and something hurts (or something hurts and wakes me up) I know I'm alive for another day!:-)

Everything is temporary, including this life. So enjoy it! It's dang short!!!
