If someone who believes the Earth is flat sees pictures from space of a sphere, has seen the curve of the horizon from a mountain, and then reads documents from the founder of the Flat Earth society where he claims to believe the Earth is a sphere, and still believes the Earth is flat, they would be as ignorant of facts and truth as a TBM Mormon who knows all the facts on Mormonism.

If a flat Earth believer saw their own family as Satanic for trying to get them to stop donating money to the Flat Earth Society; if they believe all documents, even those held by the FES that show the belief is a fraud, come from evil people who create lies to bring down truth; if they choose the FES over their own family, they would be as deceived, brainwashed and zealous as a TBM Mormon.

I'm starting to believe you can't reason with people who are no longer able to reason due to their cult conditioning. They stare facts in the face and deny them. They believe thinly veiled lies as truth. They believe blatant lies as truth.

There is just no hope for many of these people.

as they get some sort of payoff from it. They also have too much invested in it.

I could never see any of the TBM's in my family leaving it. My mom put her fingers in her ears when I started telling her the truth. She thinks she will see her mother again when she dies.

I know I won't see any off them so I live for the "now".
