Is this a program they have the missionaries doing in the MTC now? I remember answering the phone, for people requesting free videos. It would be interesting to chat them up and pretend you're investigating the church.

I remember calling the number on a pass along card on my mission and playing with the missionary in the MTC. He bore his testimony to me at least five times and was so nervous. I am sure he wrote about me in his journal that night.

People occassionally post their interactions on this board.

It's usually a very frustrating ordeal.

I was hoping to hear of some comical outcomes. Sounds like it wasnt as exciting as I would have hoped.

4chan regularly "raids" the mormon chat... the missionaries drop the conversation before it becomes interesting.

I tried a few times and printed up some of the conversations I had with them. I would use quotes from church sources like the times and seasons which always denied that poygomy was going on and why Joseph practiced it when the church denied it. There would be long pauses and off topic questions about the book of mormon. It was real frustrating to keep those guys on target with my questions. Most of the time they would cut me off and end the chat session.
