My analogy for TSCC. *** Swearage***

I included this in another thread, but it so perfectly describes how I feel that I gave it a thread of its own.

The Mormon Church and all its doctrine is just a beautifully wrapped box with all the gold trimming and ornate paper. You feel so lucky and blessed to be given such a beautiful gift. You are special. Not everyone gets this gorgeous present. You open it up to find artisan crafted chocolates. Then, when you decide to take a bite, the filling is dog shit.

You look around at all your friends eating the chocolates and they are saying how wonderful they are. So you keep eating. Then one day, you're so full of shit that you have to make a choice: keep eating shit and convince yourself that it is good for you and you love the way it tastes or puke. It took me way too long to decide to induce vomit and I still have a bad taste in my mouth.

That's huge for me also...

...though I worry that I took my oldest at all. He is now 8 and holds onto some of the stuff he learned in primary.
