It's PROOF! Proof of refracted light! Proof that particles in the air can scatter blue and green rays while leaving the red ones in tact. Proof that science works, bitches!

I would guess that what's really going on is that the blue and green components of the suns light are getting absorbed leaving the red wavelengths to get scattered.

IT IS "SCATTERED!!

but a "dirty" atmosphere also bloocks some of the light...so ya both are right?

I think the moon is supposed to turn blood red during the Tribulation. That happens during a lunar eclipse. Isn't there one coming up soon?

I'll have to consult my astronomer-husband.
