This girl is a active Mormon and a self-proclaimed feminist. Is she gonna get in trouble for this?

Not if she has big bosoms. Big bosoms cover all indiscretions.

The hope that they will be eternally pregnant? Hope that they will be a hushed rumor to their children? Hope that they will have to share their husband with countless other women? The female deities of many pagan religions and even the early Hebrew religions, offered a more powerful model of the divine female than the Mormon view.

I think we are once again seeing a Mormon trying to use their job as a proselyting tool!

Yeah, and why do LDS women need hope anyway?

Oh yeah, cos they're patronized and oppressed second-class citizens within Mormonism.

Ooooo.... an interesting comment

"One more question which probably sounds facetious but is genuine:

In this divine family, God has a wife but God has a son by Mary. Isn't this extramarital?

Or perhaps in Mormonism Jesus is seen as the son of the Goddess as well? Or, less likely as the article doesn't mention it, Mary is/is somehow linked to the Heavenly Mother?"

She was one of the "September Six" group of Mormon intellectual types who were cut off by Packer and his Posse of Pious Pimps.

Packer is still around, so if this person keeps pushing too hard on the Mother in Heaven business, we may live to see Packer once again get back in the saddle and head out to do some law enforcement. Nobody talks about the muthuh in heaven unless the brethren in SLC say it's okay. And they haven't said Simon Says on this one yet.

Since Elohim is a Polygamist, there would be many Heavenly Moms. Haven't heard many Feminist Mormons(sic) mention that.

The last paragraph sums the situation pretty honestly. I think it could be paraphrased as "It really sucks to be a woman in the mormon church."

I used to love that site...but it got pretty depressing when we'd discuss topics that opened my eyes and then sat around waiting for the old male church leaders to change something.

We had a psycho Sonia Johnson wannabe who was caught teaching new converts about Heavenly Mother in Gospel Doctrine class.
They booted that crazy bitch right out of teaching anybody anything.

spirit children, my DH will send them straight to the planet and they will completely forget me, while worrying about his fickle temper every minute of every day.

Children of psycho fathers especially need their mother's protection. She must be worried sick about us. Unless she is also unstable and unpredictable like God.

She's just giving a very basic rehash of how the Mother-in-Heaven meme has been handled by ChurchCo leaders. She's not advocating anything of substance or proposing any defiance of ChurchCo policy. With just a little reworking, it could even be a Church News article.

If she starts developing doctrine and advocating prayer to Big Heavenly Momma at some point, THEN she'll start feeling the wrath of Packer.
