A Mormon missionary from West Jordan is on life support following an Oklahoma accident.

Nancy Ann Vea, 19, was "critically injured [Friday] in an automobile accident," said Jessica Moody, spokesperson for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in a statement.

"We extend our love and prayers to Sister Vea’s family and to all those who know her, and hope they will find comfort in the gospel of Jesus Christ," Moody added.

Vea, from the Cobble Creek Stake in West Jordan, has been serving her mission since May, according to the church statement.

Sending out so many women may backfire on the cult. Those who become ill with depression, worms, or other illnesses, or who have complications from accidents, are probably going to produce fewer babies for the cult. And the dead won't produce any.

looks like an accident where driver wanted to change directions at one of those 'no U turn' places across a median.

In rural areas, with long distances between exits, if u find out you're headed in the wrong direction.... those are tempting.

I sincerely hope all recover; get out the popcorn as the morg evades ALL Responsibility.

No seat belt in use likely as she was ejected from the vehicle...

I'm just surprised they let her use a car!

This was neither the fault of the Mormon Church nor the missionary.

Rather it was due to the stupidity of the driver who broke the law.

It depends. Where I live many U-turns are allowed.

There is absolutely nothing to compare to the loss of a family's beloved child. Our family's deepest regards go to the Via family during this difficult time.
