I thought that was Ron Poelman, not Packer.
It was Ron Poelman. He gave a nice talk about free agency was too uncomfortable for the Coprolite. They had him re-do the talk at the pulpit with the faded lights and "cough track" so that he'd be there when you ordered the copy of the conference.

Wow. So much for speaking from the heart. It is interesting that the Poelman incident occurred in 1984, and the story correlates so perfectly to the novel "1984".

I thought it was a good question - God wouldn't do that, so there's no God and my life has been crap so far as a gay man because of pricks who claim to speak for God.
