I had to check out the user comments in Deseret News. As you would guess, some are absolutely pathetic. For example, some idiot named 'Cougarsare1' [how appropriate] said:

"This means all states will fall. And the more brazen attacks against religion will begin."

Here we go, get ready for the loonies to come out of the woodwork spewing off a bunch of end-of-the-world rhetoric.

Reading over there is really very eye opening.

Mormons make very interesting comments. I think it surprises them when they realize that other people are actually taught to think for themselves on issues, rather than being forced to view everything in the context of the mormon church.

This is why I was treated like dirt & as if I were a mental degenerate when I was still in the cult - simply because I thought for myself.

I think the real crime about this gay marriage issue is that you have people wanting the government to intervene on their religious biases. That's the real crime coming from these people who also spew crap about too much government. I guess government can only do two things right: cut them their socialism checks (SS & Medicare) and box groups of people out of mainstream society.

The funny part in all this, is that these God-living people are going to have to be forced to be loving and accepting, kicking and screaming all the way.

HAHA! Love it! Yes, gay marriage has now been FORCED on every citizen of Utah! Single, married, divorced, widowed, co-habiting, gay, or straight. It doesn't matter. YOU are now GAY MARRIED! (To whom? I don't know, we'll have to sort that one out next)

Yep, after years of having Mormonism 'shoved down our throats', it's funny to watch this backfire.

I'm still waiting for my facebook feed to explode, so far they're still suffering from duck-psychosis.

Maybe they are to busy getting ready for end times or just plain shocked beyond all reason. Poor hubby is having fits and is ready to spend thousands on emergency supplies( this is a man who's own sister states that the jaws of life could not open his wallet)I just keep reminding him it must be God's will,something he always tells me.

I hope my mom hasn't found out yet. We might not be in Utah, but her absolute hate of marriage equality is vitriolic. She absolutely thinks her religious beliefs are attacked any time anyone disagrees with her.

Although Duck Dynasty caused quite a stir, it really pales in comparison to this.

Interestingly enough no comment from my TBM friends either.

Maybe they are learning? I mean the Utah state attorneys did so poorly in constructing an actual argument that holds water, its like the illusion is crumbling around them.

I guess we can all relate to that to some degree though.
