When the time comes for the big bust, they'll follow the usual methods used with organized crime/crime families and start with an underling, while working their way up to the top.

If they launder money for the US government then who is going to bust them?

If they are funneling tithe money to the Vatican I wouldn't expect the Catholic-run Supreme Court to do much about it.

They are a small cog in the corruption that has become the US government and their asses are covered by the main culprits.
