Anyone know of any non-LDS members of the Iron County Militia?
I think they are indirectly referring to the local Indian tribe they tried to blame it on, who may or may not have really participated. The church in its most recent statement on LDS.org implies that they participated but were "persuaded" to do so by those rogue local Mormons who took BY's teachings too far... I have seen some published interviews of tribal elders that suggest ALL the Indians turned into white Mormon men when the massacre was over, though.
