Where is Jesus? O, the Irony!

Stake Conference

Stake President told the story of a visitor to a Fast and Testimony meeting. The visitor could not attend the other two meetings. Sometime later, the visitor expressed surprise the meeting was devoid of Jesus, but assumed Jesus must have been preached in the other two hours.

The irony of this story is after a whole weekend of Stake Conference talks including Stake President's, NONE of the talks were even remotely on Jesus. They were all "sales and marketing techniques" for "Hastening the Work."

O, the irony!

Divine Jealousy

The Brethren are genuinely jealous of people who have a close relationship to Jesus.
That is why they pay lip service to the concept, but in reality, they do not allow it.
They are also uncomfortable when people express their love for Jesus and forget to mention brother Joseph.

They actually think they're talking about Jesus...

...because they believe they're spreading his "gospel". "Missionary" work, "the gospel", "Jesus" — it's all th same thing to these people.
