http://www.gregtrimble.com/so-you-think-the-book-of-mormon-is-a-fraud/#.U7pCQlHouQB.facebook

What do you think? Another brainwashed TBM trying to defend the book he thinks is true? Never gets old.

I think pretty soon many of my TBM friends are going to share this.

What say you?

Here is the bottom line; How are you going to argue with this idiot?

I say that three or four threads have already discussed this in the past few days. Try a search for "trimble" or something like that.

It's a work of fiction, and bad fiction at that.

They have to really, really want to believe because the archeological and genetic evidence is not with them.

Here is the statement of the Smithsonian Institution regarding the BoM:

http://www.utlm.org/onlineresources/smithsonianletter.htm

Here is the Smithsonian's supporting evidence for its position:

http://www.utlm.org/onlineresources/smithsonianletter2.htm

"...none of the principal Old World domesticated food plants or animals (except the dog) occurred in the New World in pre-Columbian times. American Indians had no wheat, barley, oats, millet, rice, cattle, pigs, chickens, horses, donkeys, camels before 1492. (Camels and horses were in the Americas, along with the bison, mammoth, and mastodon, but all these animals became extinct around 10,000 B.C. at the time when the early big game hunters spread across the Americas.)"

"...Iron, steel, glass, and silk were not used in the New World before 1492 (except for occasional use of unsmelted meteoric iron). Native copper was worked in various locations in pre-Columbian times, but true metallurgy was limited to southern Mexico and the Andean region, where its occurrence in late prehistoric times involved gold, silver, copper, and their alloys, but not iron."

This was going around about 50 years ago. Some memes never die. It was pretty weak tea, even back then.

Hey, think of the bright side... the TBMs that Trimble is bringing to his blog will read the comments which contain the real answers to his questions.

One good reason to leave the church is that it's not true.

My cousin posted on facebook this link today.

http://www.gregtrimble.com/you-should-not-leave-mormonism-for-any-of-these-5-reasons/

She added something like she wished her ex mormon friends would have read this before leaving. LOL I read a lot before leaving and the more I read especially FAIR the more got confirmed it is a man made religion from a con man.
