The church is probably paying Google and YouTube a fortune to have pro-mormon content come up on a search. A year ago you mostly got ant-mormon stuff. I guess the church is true if you have enough money to buy positive public relations and influence web searches.

If you control or manipulate the majority of communication channels, you can affect behavior with misrepresentations, even ones that are in opposition with the target audience’s best interest. Nothing conspiratorial about this type of behavior. It is caused by those with some money and marketing knowledge trying to sway public opinion. Lobbyists and various interest groups actively engage in information manipulation.

I have a big issue with this type of behavior from the standpoint of ethics. It is often used to put lipstick on pigs or sell people on ideas that are at least somewhat detrimental to their interests.

Yah, well LDS Inc was paying Youtube to pull the most effective anti MORmON videos, so pro LDS INC propaganda could have some room, build some momentum & get caught up. LDS INC grossly inflates hits on pro LDS videos to try to crowd out MORmON expose videos. IT AINT WORKING. No body is joining the LDS Church over stupid smarmy superficial pro LDS videos, but MORmON expose video is exacting a huge toll on LDS proselyting/ PROFIT grubbing. The light of exposure in VERY damaging to cults. LDS Inc is in decline.
