Am heartsick to learn that my husband's nephew has been sent to Birdseye Academy in Manti. The only Google I found is Birdseye Ranch which seems crazy abusive.

The boy was adopted from a multicultural orphanage overseas. The family lives well outside the Morridor, prominent, well to do - father is a surgeon.

The website I found talks about healing from sexual misbehavior and pornography addiction. Are Birdseye Ranch and Birdseye Academy the same? Can anyone give me - hopefully - positive information that counters what I found online?

That is not in Manti, it is in Utah County. I think that is the one she means, you drive by it going from Thistle southwards on US 89.

I own a home in Manti and my sons live there. I have lived there for about twenty years and do not recall a Birdseye Academy there. What I do know is that in "Birdseye", which is several miles north of the Sanpete County line is a state operated youth home known as Birdseye. That may be what you are looking for. My sister did some counseling there when she worked on her MSW. If that is the case then it may not be to bad.

I did Google it and there were some bizarre things that came up that are nothing I ever heard of and several that were in other states.

If it is the one the other posted then yes, it has had some problems.
