Ever hear the poem of "Temple John?"

Actor Fred Hunting used to play John in the temple movie. Apparently (nobody seems to know) he was on the outs with the church over LGBT issues. So LDS Inc. actually edited him out of the existing movie, replacing him with another actor. I would have taken some green screen technology, and is a testament to how far the church will go to make it appear as if nothing has happened. "Nope. Nothing to see here," they like to say. "Please move on." But on the Wheat & Tares website they tell the story and include a nice poem about Temple John:

Temple John: Where do the Fallen Go?

You disappeared without the slightest trace,
Your face erased, estrangement none knows why.
To Punic marble pillars in the sky
A new disciple came to take your place.

For from your sacred calling did you swerve.
Though stalwart in the background one may serve,
Once fallen, soon forestalled in God’s grim book.

The leather sandals that you used to wear,
The apostolic staff you held in hand,
Are gone, as well as angels at your side.

The mighty Priesthood that you used to bear
Cleaves even now unto another man,
Replacing you in temples far and wide.

This is so Orwellian. To erase people when they disagree with the official dogma.

By editing him out of a film, like he wasn't in it at all.

Because he disagreed with the LGBT doctrine?

It would be laughable were it not so god awful serious.

didn't the church also edit Steve Sims (exmormon former mission president of Porto Portugal mission) out of the mission history like he was never even there? I think that is what they did.

Will Swenson (now married to Aydra McDonald) used to be a Mormon actor who was the voice of Jebus in the big old iMax thing at Temple Square or so called "Joseph Smith memorial bldg" or wherever. Swenson quit the church and even appeared naked in a production of "Hair," and I think the church voiced him over because of it, or even killed the film entirely bases on his evil evilness.
