I'm working on some mechanical projects with a couple of never-mo friends. They know I used to be a Mormon. I showed Friend A a piece Friend B had fabricated for me to replace a broken version of it. "See," I said, "Much stronger and all shiny and new with a coat of paint." The paint was white (because that happened to be what I had on hand).

Making a small joke, Friend A said, "I'd want it black."

I joked back (twisting a Henry Ford quote around), "You can have any color you want as long as it's white."

Friend B chuckled, rolled his eyes, and muttered, "Mormons."

Yup, Mormons, the white people dressed in white. White and delightsome. With only one right way to do things. Friend B understands Mormonism.

That *does* sound like a Brigham Young quote...:)
