"A South African trophy hunter is dead after being crushed by an elephant that had been shot on on a game reserve in Zimbabwe earlier this weekend.
Theunis Botha, 51, died during a hunt in Gwai, in Zimbabwe, when a member of his group fired at a storming elephant cow and the animal fell on him, according to a report from News 24."

Good. Too bad the Elephant died too. It should happen to all trophy hunters. ( not those who hunt for food).

On the plus side, it makes a wonderful Mother's Day story. It almost makes me sorry I'm not on the LDS scene to tell it. Sure beats stripling warriors.

I was a hunter before arthritis put a stop to it. I ate what I killed. Never could understand shooting something just because.

The loss of any human life saddens me...but I have to admit, this one saddens me a bit less than some others. Do I wish he hadn't been out shooting elephants, so both the elephant and he would still be alive? Yes. There is, though, something almost just in this...
