It is both crazy liberal and crazy conservative here. Missouri isn't Kansas where most people are conservative. The most conservative people I know in Missouri are super religious. Some people I know from Kansas are conservative because they want to be and not specifically because Jesus told them to be.

Nobody's managed to provide convincing evidence there was a first "coming..."

So why worry about the supposed second?

Several days back I wrote here about the sacred prophecy about the fate of New York, Boston, and Albany which would occur before certain youth in the Church would become adults and ponder on what happened to those cities as they look out over the Cache valley from the towers of the Logan temple. Well obviously that wondrous day hasn't yet come and considering how those events are supposed to happen before Jackson County is cleansed then we still got a while to go. I do believe that this timeline on events still needing to occur could be used as an excuse by some people to choose not to assimilate themselves into complete obedience to the jurisdiction of the Brethren. They might think "I'll just repent later & don't send the home teachers until those 3 cities are destroyed". As a result those people will continue to be missing out on the wonders of servitude in the LDS kingdom and instead of their tithes making their way into Heavenly Father's bank accounts they'll be going other places instead.

Oh man, maybe that's where I need to go to view the eclipse. I want to be at 100%, so a group of us are going a couple hours North to Southern Kentucky. Wonder if I can talk a group of nevermos to drive 7 hours to Jackson County, MO instead. Nah, the ice wouldn't keep the beer cold that long.
