I know some people who can't relax until they get all the "to do's" done. I was that way for quite a while.

Monday Night FHE -- Check.
Family Prayer -- Check
Morning Prayer -- Check
Evening Prayer -- Check.
Personal Scripture Reading -- Check
Temple Attendance -- Check
Home teaching -- Check
Church Calling -- Check
Sacrament Meeting-- Check
Sunday School -- Check
Priesthood/Relief Society -- Check

Once on a trip, going to Sacrament meeting wasn't enough for my Mother-in-Law. We had to stay for all three hours, even though we had a 12 hour drive ahead of us. She was worried that she wouldn't be blessed with safety if she skipped out on Sunday School and Relief Society in a guest ward.

I'll tell you what didn't bless us with Safety. Leaving after noon and driving late into the night.

Anyway, I think about this when I see people get all anxious that they haven't done some repetitive Church requirement.

I'm not as OCD as some people, like my ex or my kids, but I'm definitely OCD. I'm sure mormonism made it worse, but it definitely HAS NOT calmed down.

I had so much I had to get done when I was a single mother working 2 jobs that I still live that way. I don't allow myself to relax. The only time I relax is on vacation when I'm away from all my tasks.

I miss the busy-ness of it to be honest. :(
