I just got home from a fire assignment in southern Oregon.

A friend sent me this link. I've heard of this crew of fire fighters. It makes me feel good especially after witnessing the power of fire and the people that work to save others property.

He was. That's my cousin Dan. He married a Samoan girl.

I love them, they are so fierce and passionate. There is

nothing bland about them. Sort of like someone else I know.

Those guys are hot (haha)! Men in uniform. Men in dirt. Men being men. All good.

Sounds like the tune to "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" (sung here by Country star Alan Jackson):

Do Mormons use that tune? It's so far in my rearview mirror now I can't remember.

I know they use "How Great Thou Art" and the missionaries I knew didn't realize that wasn't an original Mormon hymn, to my great shock. It's always good to get out there and find out a little bit about the world beyond one's own tiny piece of it.

Yes. The Mormon hymn "Israel, Israel, God is Calling" uses that melody.

Thanks for the info. Very interesting. I don't remember that but I recall that we didn't seem to have much variety in our hymn selection in the ward I attended.

Where was this filmed? Utah? California? There is a small manzanita bush in the foreground, which to me signifies California, but maybe it's found in Utah as well.
