Anyone missionize in Africa? Did you try ancestor worship angle?

I've never read reports about it, but I would imagine that ancestor veneration, which, I *believe* is still at least a notion in many African cultures would be a natural tactic for TSCC use with the dead dunking and FR4ever schtick...

I was a missionary in South Africa in the early 80's. I spent a little time in a couple of black and colored areas (Apartheid era), and it never dawned on me to try that angle. At that time, we didn't learn the black languages, so we relied on translators. Who knows what they were teaching.

I wasn't a particularly fervent missionary and learned early on that I didn't believe. Thank god for the 18-month mission and South African beaches!
