OK so I'm a native New Yorker (from LI, not NYC) and its been a while since I was in Times Square. DH and I went the other day and were about bowled-over by the "Light the World" humongous billboard there.

Anyone here with informed knowledge of just how much a billboard that size in Times Square costs? I can't imagine but the fee must be incredible.

What a waste of $$$$$.

"In addition, “Light the World” displays can be found at visitors’ centers in cities around the world, including Mexico City and Paris. Billboards can be seen in New York City’s Times Square, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and Mexico City."

My guess is that the one in Los Angeles might be on Santa Monica Blvd, near the phallic symbol temple.

I’m continually getting advertisements on YouTube from David A. Bednar. Like I give a jolly fuck! Hey, do any of you remember when the Morg never advertised in the newspaper?

They are more amusing when so clueless.

Excerpt, fair use claim:

“I think people are looking for ways, especially around Christmas, to leave behind some of the commercialism and really get back to why we celebrate the season. And this campaign seemed to resonate that way as well,” said Greg Droubay, media director for the Church’s Missionary Department."

Comment - I wouldn't so much want to know the expenses, but how they intend to calculate the ROI.

Interview your own people about the advertising campaign they designed in relation to its purpose and perceived effctiveness.... kinda like the church auditors at GC stating that church finances are all above board. What idiots

“I think people are looking for ways, especially around Christmas, to leave behind some of the commercialism and really get back to why we celebrate the season. And this campaign seemed to resonate that way as well,”

He thinks
People are looking for ways
ESPECIALLY around Christmas
To leave behind some of the commercialism (which TSCC subscribes, prescribes and decides)
And REALLY get back to
Why we celebrate the season.
And this campaign
Seemed to resonate
That way as well.

Saying something to say nothing.

Mormonism. Empty. Rhetorical. Vacant.
