Hi Mike,
Thank you for your interest in chatting with a member of the Church. What would you like to talk about?
Mike 1:40 PM
Do Mormons still believe God cursed two entire races of people with dark skin due to the sins of their Fathers, like it says in the BoM and PoGP?
Now chatting with: Jake and Zak
Jake 1:40 PM
Hi Mike! That is actually a common misunderstanding. God didn't curse anyone with dark skin, he gave them a different curse. The dark skin was a mark given to them to show others that the person had been cursed because there were consequences for the people that associated with the cursed people in certain ways. Eventually the dark skin became a hereditary trait, and carries on today like that.
Mike 1:47 PM
But it says repeatedly that God cursed Lamanites and descendants of Cain with dark or black skin in both BoM and BoA.
Jake 1:47 PM
Can you give us specific references to where it says the dark skin is the curse?
Mike 1:49 PM
2nd Nephi 5:21
Moses 7:8
Moses 7:23
Abraham 1: 26-27
Abraham 1:24
1Nephi 12:23
Alma 3:6
Zak 1:52 PM
So the one in Nephi states that God cursed them because of their iniquities AND did cause that their skin should become darker. Like Jake said, the curse itself isn't black skin, the black skin was to distinguish those who were cursed to those who weren't. Just like God marked Cain so that everyone would know that the curse would fall upon them if they killed Cain.
Mike 1:53 PM
So if God once turned people black for sinning why'd he change?
Jake 1:53 PM
We have to go now.

Black skin isn't the curse, it's just the mark of the curse so we know anyone with black skin is cursed--because they are wicked. Whaaat? Do Mormons even listen to what they are saying? Ever? That chat with the Mishies is one of the most ridiculous ever.

Liar: "That is actually a common misunderstanding. God didn't curse anyone with dark skin,"

Me: "What about all the times it says God cursed people with dark skin in Mormon scriptures?"

Liar: "Got any examples?"

Me: "Here are 7 specific examples."

2nd Liar: "Yeah God gave people black skin as a sign of the curse, so they'd be untouchables, just like Cain.

Me: "So why doesnt God do that anymore?"

Liar: "We gotta go!"

2nd Nephi 5:21 "And he had caused a cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and bdelightsome, that they might not be centicing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them."

Plain as day, racist AF.
Mormons have zero problem blatantly lying through their teeth to justify their white supremacist patriarchy.

The line about the dark skin, " . . . that they might not be enticing unto my people . . . " is the smoking gun. How much more racist can you get?

No scriptures on planet Earth are more racist than MORmON Scriptures, so not much.
