Just saw them in Vegas, not my type of music, but they are talented. Sing, dance, do comedy. They still have a lot of energy and despite it being an old act seem enthusiatic about performing. Why should they disappear they still headline a major casino.

They've been doing it for a livelihood since they were old enough to walk. Performing is all they know.

I'm personally not much of a fan (though I've had a couple of dealings with Donny, and he was very nice) but many people are. As long as the Osmonds want to perform and there are people who desire to see them perform, it's a win-win proposition for both sides.

Donny was in my wife's ward in Chicago when he was doing "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat". He taught some lessons at church, and my wife thought he was very nice.

I only knew him from the "Donny & Marie Show", which was corny but fun. I have read some posts on his Mormon blog, and from those I can conclude he's a liar, an idiot, or drunk on Mormon Kool-Aid...none of which are mutually exclusive.

When you've bought the whole cultish enchilada over the space of a lifetime, it would have that tendency to do that to Donny's brain.
