Your Right of Access Request
I write further to your Right of Access Request under Art. 15 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) dated June 4, 2018.
My name is Oliver Teubner and I act as the Data Privacy Officer for the Church in Europe. Your request has been forwarded to me for handling.
In accordance to Art. 12, No. 3 GDPR The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as a controller shall provide information on action taken on a request under Articles 15 to 22 to you without undue delay and in any event within one month of receipt of the request. That period may be extended by two further months where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of the requests.
As the Church is currently receiving large numbers of such requests and the complexity of your request we will provide you an answer within the next two months, latest by September 4, 2018.

I'm hoping that is the case and they're not just using a form letter to stall for time.
I've only asked for a copy of my information at this point.
Letter doesn't actually say they'll do it either.
Be interesting to see what comes next.
I'm wondering if their stopping announcing membership numbers in conference is to do with them anticipating having to delete a load of members of their books.
