Packer was an evil man.

He was the epitome of a man's world mixed with the reductionism in Mormonism with crazy concepts like "endure to the end" and "nothing you can't bear" and "man is that he might have joy."

All of that nonsense mixed together reduces the suffering of people and makes this our "mortal" trial akin to passing grade school to get to be a real godlet someday.

The Mormon Church started with a man willing to ask a follower for his wife and take his 14 year old daughter instead.

Really, protecting children from sexual exploitation and abuse isn't a high priority for their "continuing revelation." It never has included protecting people from their "priesthood" or their gods.

All Mormons have to do is ignore it. The press won't have a reason to promote it because the Mormon Church is too small and unimportant.

Do you remember missionary elders being sent home early for being promiscuous with age appropriate young women?

In addition to the shunning from ward members and or their own family, they faced courts of love where they were disfellowshipped or excommunicated.

According to the leaked document from 2012, there was a case where the elder sexually abused an 8 year old and the report stated that this predator WOULD NOT face any stake disciplinary council when the elder returned home to his stake.

That's just sick!
