What LDS apologists could learn

LDS apologists should listen to the recent Joe Rogan podcast with Peter Boghossian and James Lindsay. They could learn a lot about how to get sketchy scholarship past peer review and into the spotlight.

Epic. Truly epic.

It's always just been a matter of having enough corrupt, corruptible...

and like-minded "peers" to get the job done. The problem for LDS apologists is that they don't have enough friends and like-minded "scholarly peers" in the world outside of the LDS Church and ChurchCo is not likely going to invest millions in astro-turfing a quasi "consensus" in each relevant field, together with corrupting and retaining the cooperation of potential "peers" in the outside world to get things moving.

So it would not be advisable to hold one's breath waiting for that "Cureloms and Cummons are Llamas and Capybaras: A Nuanced Examination of Mormon Taxonomy" article to appear in the Journal of Zoology anytime soon.
