Mormon churches loses tax case in NZ high court!

The Mormon church has lost a case about donations for missionaires in the high court of New Zealand.the church will appeal the decision.

It's an odd decision. The missionary, his parents and grandparents cannot get the deduction for donations. But siblings and more distant relatives can.

I AGREE!

parents shouldn't get a tax deduction for supporting their own children other than the one they (in the U.S.) get for children at home, it's Double Dipping.

I agree, but they’ll support each other’s kids or figure out some other way to launder the money through TSCC to get a tax break.

My parents back in the 80s wrote the check to the bishop and he dropped the money into my brothers checking account.

This was back when everyone paid their own way.
