I'm trying to remember if in Mormonism it's still considered a sin if you didn't know it was?

Total SIN!!! If you are sinning (even if you don't know your sinning) You are not praying in the proper order and not listening to the Holy Ghost... (which is sin compounded)! So glad I am not whipping myself anymore over this sinning garbage... I think it is a good time to grab a cup of coffee... The Glory is all mine!!!

If you're not sinning when you don't know it's a sin, then wouldn't it be in everyone's best interest to not tell them which things are sins?

One of the few guarantees in Mormonism is that if you overcome one sin you'll still need to feel guilty about something else.

The LDS state clearly tea and coffee. The D&C says hot drinks.

My experience of the church is that decaf coffee was out but cola allowed.

Well aware it varies.
