Not harsh enough.

"Harsh" would be for you to demand all your money back, because you have been scammed by a fraud cult founded by a criminal con-man. Mormons have been lying to us and to the world, from the beginning.

Don't ever feel sorry for the Mormon cult. You saved yourself by resigning.

Have a great day celebrating! Then, go forth to save your children, and other innocent loved ones who have been victimized.

Congratulations!

I'm thinking of sending mine on my birthday. Make it more easy for me to remember and celebrate doubly on that day :)

This year marks my tenth anniversary from officially resigning. I will celebrate my sobriety accordingly.

Congrats on finding your inner strength and subsequent freedom from the cult.

Off too!

And unseal me from these freaks!

And give me back my (original) testimony.

And TELL THE REMAINING MORMONS ABOUT CAFFEINE.

Idiots

One day we can all send in our letters. We all have our reasons. Maybe it's as simple as ....it's not worth the stamp dealing with this cult.

No need to be snotty. On this forum we help people who want to resign to use that term rather than name removal because it compels the church to act on the letter and do the requested paperwork. They are not required to do a name removal, but must, legally, resign your membership upon notification by you that you want this done. Getting the verifying letter can take additional effort depending on the bishop of your ward. I hope he's the sort that has been through this many times and makes his wimpy offer of a meeting and then tells the sweeties in SLC to issue the letter. Good luck to you. Anger is normal when you've been had.

the letters they send us when they finally acknowledge that we are no longer members of their church.

I still have that letter, and I got it more than a decade ago.
