In Boston, they used to say, "Vote early and often for James Michael Curley," the Irish rascal who won election as mayor while serving time in jail.
A while back they tried to count missionaries serving outside Ew-tah for census purposes also.. with hope of 1 additional congress-person.

Dad was a Democrat, his wife was a republican.
They never voted because they figured their votes would cancel each other out.
My neighbor waited until the last minute to vote and only after watching the news. In ancient times they posted results before the polls closed. She always voted for whoever was ahead. That way she always backed a winner.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a system that let more than just these two parties in? Then this wouldn't apply. It's almost as if there is a gentleman's agreement to keep everyone else out.

They like taking turns spreading (taxpayers') largess upon their favored cronies and constituencies.

Their biggest problem is Utah voters themselves.
