I have a question. To begin with, I presume, the top 10 favorite don’ts of Christians are as follows:
1. I am the Lord thy God and thou shalt not have any other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make any graven images for thee.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
5. Honor thy father and mother.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10. Thou shalt not covet.
Now homosexuality doesn’t even make your top 10 list, but there is this reference by Paul in Romans 1:26:
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
So, it seems God is annoyed with homosexuals. The pie makers, cake bakers, flower arrangers and county clerks are standing on their “Constitutional rights” not to serve these people. Ironically, though mentioned in the Bible, it doesn’t make God’s top 10 list of don’ts.
Though good Christians are standing in line to vote for the adulterer and fornicator in chief of the United States. I suspect Christians seem to like adultery and fornication more than homosexuality. Which seems rather ironic if not hypocritical since they would forgo one of the top 10 and focus on one of the lessor don’ts.
And I’m asked why I prefer atheists?
