Regardless of your religio-spiritual position, Three Kings Day in Spain is their Santa time.

Interesting to note that the "three kings" is a medieval legend

The New Testament mentions "wise men from the east," not specifying that they were kings, nor how many of them there were.

Probably the mention of "gold, frankincense, and myrrh" (three items) led people to conclude that there were three men, each carrying one of the gifts, which is logical but not explicitly stated as such.
